Statement from Sabre Corp CEO Jolene Bennett on the GH400 Printer Fires
TALLAHASSEE, FL (PRNet) – May 20, 2010 – For more than a decade, Sabre Corp has been a leader in developing innovative yet affordable electronic office equipment. We have been listed among America's most respected corporations for several consecutive years. Given that record, we believe our customers are always entitled to honest and efficient information.
It has come to our attention that a tray may have been incorrectly installed within the paper load module of the GH400 printers, posing potential for fire hazard if the vent is obstructed. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Merchandise Assurance Commission and other safety regulatory authorities, we are issuing a full recall of that specific printer model. Affected customers will be eligible to receive a rebate.
Under the rubric of "Broaden Your Printer Horizons", Sabre Corp is going above and beyond to amend this problem. This event has given us an opportunity to revamp the design and deliver an even faster printer at the same price point. We are also working to further improve communication company-wide so this does not happen again. I, Jolene Bennett, will not rest until I have regained your utmost trust.
